Credits
- All academic courses have a value of one (1) credit.
- A minimum of 28 credits, following the guidelines in the Coweta County School System Career Planning Guide, are required for graduation.
- Students not remaining on pace will be re-evaluated to determine continuation at PLC.
Progress and Report Forms
Grades will be reported mid-semester and at the end of the semester to the school district. Report Cards and/or progress reports will be generated from the PLC. Additional progress and reports may be sent to parents/guardians at any time during the semester at the learning facilitator's discretion.
Graduation Exams
All students are required to pass the English/ Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, and Writing sections of the Georgia High School Gradutaion Test as one requirement for earning a high school diploma.
Students should take the writing test for the first time in the fall of their junior year. They should take the Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science tests for the first time in the spring of their junior year. Students have four (4) additional testing opportunities (if needed) before high school graduation. Please see your advisor for the Testing Schedule to determine when you can take the tests.
Diplomas Issued
Students meeting graduation requirement will receive their diplomas from their base school.
Students may work toward either a College Preparatory or Technology/Career Preparatory diploma at the Coweta Performance Learning Center:
1. College Preparatory (CP) Program - a program of study requriring 28 Carnegie units as specified by the State Board of Education. This program of study leads to a diploma with a College Preparatory Seal of Endorsement.
2. CTAE Program - a program of study requiring 28 Carnegie units as specified by the State Board of Education. This program of study leads to a diploma with a CTAE Seal of Endorsement.
