PLC Welcome
The Coweta Performance Learning Center opened in August 2003 as a non-traditional high school program designed specifically to serve the needs of students who have not succeeded in a traditional high school setting. We believe that every student possesses the ability to become a self-confident, independent learner. If you meet all of your base school requirements, your base school will grant you a diploma.
The purpose of this Professional Standards book is to make you aware of the opportunities, services, and procedures in our center. It is important that you become familiar with the information on this website.
Educators participating in the Coweta Performance Learning Center are collaborators in a state of the art learning environment. They receive the best staff development training available and are fully integrated into the global network of Communities in Schools.
Students attending the PLC receive individualized computer-based instruction using the Novanet curriculum. A significant part of our program is the career development component, which allows the the student to participate in internships, job shadowing, and community service activities.
Students in the PLC are afforded privileges and are responsible for their own decisions and conduct. Professional conduct is required and expected.
We look forward to working with you as you achieve your goals.
