MLA Tips
The Modern Language Association created a set of guidelines for document format and citation of sources that are now known simply as MLA format. College English instructors require students to use MLA format on all of their assignments, especially those requiring research. For general information about how to set up your document and cite your sources in MLA format, check out the information at the link below from Purdue University. Different professions have different standards for format and citation of sources; some of the most widely used include APA (American Psychological Association) and Chicago. Purdue’s OWL (Online Writing Lab) website has information about using both of these formats, and Citation Machine can also help you format your citations.
