SAE
Team members in the Horticulture program are expected to participate in the SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) program.  Team members apply what they learn in the class to their own interests in order to complete an independent project.  There are four types of SAE projects: Placement (work for someone else), Entrepreneurship (start your own business), Research (complete a research project) and Service (provide community service).  Team members should invest at least 20 hours per semester and keep detailed records of their projects.  Team members with excellent projects can apply for a Proficiency award if they are members of FFA.
