Business PartnersBusiness partners were essential to the creation of CEC. Businesses continue to develop CEC by serving on our governing CEC Board, by teaching classes, and by advising on changes needed in the curriculum and programs. Many businesses also engage “team members” (our name for “students”) in job shadowing, internships, and apprenticeships. Approximately 200 employers provide work-based learning opportunities. Other businesses provide support in the form of equipment and equipment dollars used in educational programs. Most important, businesses hire our team members once they have gained the skills needed to succeed in this 21st century economy. |
