Work-Based Learning And Teacher Pipeline

Work-Based Learning (WBL) and Teacher Pipeline at Central Educational Center are courses that link job placement with career-related course work.

Team members must:

• Apply to be in the course*
• Be a rising Junior or Senior
• Have excellent attendance and disciplinary records
• Meet performance goals
• Display good work ethic

When employers commit to hire a WBL team member, they agree to

• Provide a mentor for the student learner
• Follow a defined training plan
• Pay at least minimum wage
• Allow the team member to work 7.5 hours for one unit of credit, or 15 hours for two units of credit
• Assess team member's performance in a timely manner
